This was originally a going-away gift I gave to my dear friend Caithlin when she ran away from us to England back in 2003. However, due to inexplicable technical problems, we were unable to use it to full-effect. Thus I axed it. However, I recently stumbled across the layout again and being that my site is in dire need of an update, and being that it's been so long since I've had the time to do any web design that I've almost forgotten how to cold code at all, I decided to just recycle it until I can get back to my geeky roots and fix up a new one. =)
The layout has actually adopted a new meaning, though. In 2006, I came to know someone who I became immeasurably close to. When he left the country, I would send on an almost daily basis an email sometimes detailing my day but mostly describing the thoughts and emotions which had been wandering through my head recently. Since then, I have lost contact with said person but sometimes still wish I could send him these emails. So I will write similar ones here for three reasons:
[1] In case he ever decides he would like to read them.
[2] For my own personal interest and to compensate my goldfish memory.
[3] To be able to give this site the regular updating it has so long been deprived of.
I may or may not decide to bring the actual original unstable site back, but for now, this will be a temporary cure.
Please also note that this is indeed an incarnation of Paper Hearts. I'm just leaving it as "Postcards from Australia" for the sake of its sentiment and also cos I cannot alter the main image to remove the title text without greater difficulty than my laziness is able to handle. *hehe* ^_^;;
